This is how you can contribute
- Drive innovation by evaluating and prototyping emerging ML and MLOps technologies through hands-on proof of concepts
- Drive the integration and operationalization of a state-of-the-art ML weather forecasting system within MeteoSwiss and the Digital Europe Programme (DEP) Destination Earth, bringing Anemoi-based models to production readiness and benchmarking them across leading EuroHPC supercomputing centres
- Co-develop new forecasting approaches alongside data scientists and meteorologists at MeteoSwiss and partner institutions across Europe
- Build and evolve the ML tooling, services, and workflows that underpin reliable, production-grade forecasting systems in cloud and high-performance computing environments such as the Swiss National Supercomputer Centre (CSCS)
This makes you unique
- University degree (at least ISCED 7) in computer science, applied mathematics, data science or a related field
- Experience with MLOps, container technologies, as well as cloud platforms and HPC environments (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, SLURM)
- Very good programming skills in Python and familiarity with the PyTorch ML framework
- Dedicated personality with a creative, problem-solving mindset and strong communication skills
- Active knowledge of one official language, passive knowledge of a second official language and very good knowledge of English
